FOOTBALL PENALTY KICKS

It appears that penalty kicks in football are the burden of one man – the goalkeeper. Some players just mess up and concede a penalty, and they leave it to the goalkeeper to deal with it.

All your teammates will just watch you. They won’t come on the goal line to fill up the space. It is just the goalkeeper against the striker. No one helps. All that your coach, supporters and friends can do is to wish you well. Nothing more. At the point of taking it, they wait with bated breath. Anxious? Yes, but they can’t do more than that.

This is also the case with a student’s life. You learn in class and your teachers prepare you for exams. But when it comes to writing, it will be you against the examiner. Your teachers, parents and friends will wish you well. If you let the examiner score against you, you will disappoint a team of people banking on you.

Learn, train and prepare in such a way that you will catch the examiner’s penalty kick. That way, you will be happy and so will be the many people in your team.
